Camden Classic
Not a word of the race on Talking pros.
Really good way to promote the sport , no wonder no one is turning up to compete and 27 have nominated for the so called Classic.
8 for the final, 8 for the consolation, wont leave many not getting a second run.
Ignore it and it will go away.
No ignore it and the athletes will go away.
Anyway my tips for the CLASSSSIC are
Gillings
Rigby
Hildyard
Amekata

Re: Camden Classic
Personally I miss Top Sport's analysis of entries for each carnival. Bedding industry must be booming, because the numbers this season are definitely worth exploring.. The AGM reports will be an interesting read.
I would hazard a guess to say numbers are worse now than when we were in the midst of a global pandemic, but we cant highlight that now can we?

Re: Camden Classic
Sherlock ,Some one with your expertise would know, figures can be so easily fudged
Dont go by entries , but by athletes actually turning up to compete.
They tell two different stories.

Totally agree Sherlock, The common denominator lies within the management committee.Sherlock Holmes wrote:

I would suggest that they buy a new broom at the end of the season.
Ger rid of the goal umpire and go to a National handicapping system and numbers will begin going the other way.

Re: Camden Classic
Kowals improvement from 400m to 400m was 27.68m, Ive done the hard yards for you Chief.
When you consider what you slugged Whitecross and Maxwell at the Bay over 1600m , are you going to show a bit of back bone or wilt like a flower in 45 degree temp.
Stewards report will make interesting reading.

Re: Camden Classic
Dont hold your breath Whisperer , we are still waiting for the Barossa report and there was only 100 competitors there
At that rate I would expect Camden zzzzzzzzzzzzz give it another week.

Its now been 2 weeks, we have had another meeting and still NO CAMDEN REPORT.
If theres an on going investigations, and there should be , just release the report with exactly that, but get the report out there.

Re: Camden Classic
Stewards report
Harry Kowal 400m Camden Classic Final – For a substantial improvement
in performance of approximately 27.16 metres from his
Brighton run on 16/12/23 to his heat and final run at
Camden. After receiving a response from the Coach, the
Stewards Team collaboratively decided on a decision.
UP and 10% of 1st
Place prizemoney
I think if I was Harry , I would be very happy, loses a small bit of pocket money , absolutely no deterrent whatsoever.
Whitecross got a larger percentage cut of his prizemoney than Harrys 10% and was no where near as important race.
