2024 Stawell Womens Gift

Same again, included all the Gift winners this year an no one else, as that's where I think most the chances are going to come from this year.

Really tough year for the womens, good luck to all the punters out there. I will do a deeper analysis later, after a few of you have had your say... without my helping hand

Mannix Power, Hewitt, Newton, Pollard and Suarez Jury are near certainties for me. Last spot will be taken by the winner of the fq6 v fq7 semi. This spot will be fought out between Watson, Martin, Kinnersly,Crowe, May and Wang LeCouter. I see the votes are already coming for the obvious favourites. Pollard and Mannix-Power have to be the ones to beat. I think Pollard has shown her hand a little bit, with her times suggesting that she will probably be going at least 13.5. The question then becomes, how quick is Mannix-Power. Could she be one of Australia’s top sprinters and we just don’t know it yet? I think she would have to be a 11.5 runner to win this… maybe she is

Pick of the yard is Jemma Pollard 23.94 200 and has 8.75, will most likely be an Olympian this year. She will be far to good for mannix power and the rest.

Hi Norm,
I don't think Mills and Crisp are entered in the gift. Can I suggest you include Windshuttle, Walker, Spencerley Berridge and Crowe as the best of the non winners.
As for my tips, I think one of the early winners could surprise- they have had 3 or 4 months to improve. I'm thinking May, Hewitt, King and CMP. I would also think about Berridge.

I can't possibly see Zoe Neale missing the final and not being a threat.
She won shepp in 13.8 and got her lift and won her stawelk heat in 13 7 last year off a virtually identical mark to this year.
Also 4th in 2019 final so her and Shane m have been here before.
I do think mannix power is the one to beat
Watson and neale certain finalists then 8 or 9 ladies fighting for last 3 spots.
Newton should be one of 3 finalists
