Essendon Farce
Hope admin allows this post after recent censorship but I have watched Essendon and the level of performance was farcical. Stawell winners jogging. Good athletes not trying. I won’t name names out of fear of persecution and expulsion. Expect UP’s and suspensions in the report. Yeah right

Re: Essendon Farce
Nature of the beast in any handicapped sport, man.
Some will run tired. Some will run overweight. Some will run slow.
Everyone is either wanting to be on the good side or the blind side of the handicapper.
I hope everyone jogs every week. Would make my life a lot easier

Re: Essendon Farce
Get over yourself George. If you don’t run an AP time you don’t get a tick and therefore you don’t move. If you win a race you retain the mark for Stawell, so runners are now much more inclined to take a win.

Re: Essendon Farce
Twas a great event! Almost like Flonkerton and Dunderball!
There were some interesting omissions (and a fair few NAP-T's no doubt!) perhaps in the Stewards report and this isn't having a go at the runners more about being consistent in rulings:
- No mention of Konteh and Byron in the NAP for injuries?
- No mention of Portelli going from 20.85 (heat winner) to 22.9 (last in semi)?
- Martin's blocks slipping in the 70m but no option to run in a different heat like Morris?
Nothing against the runners above as all of them genuinely have a crack when they run and honestly hope the injuries are not serious but they are points that should be mentioned in the report for consistency.
