Crisp 1st, nearly got the 100m correct as Patsouras just fell short, beaten just by Mills who won Geelong off 13.5m, 4th at Waverley off 12.75m, and got 13m on the weekend. Why?? Idk, but I’m calling it a moral victory, what do you think Soon To Retire??

Handicapper discretion used in the worst way. Gift winners don’t need a lift after one run, they’re already ultra competitive.

Mills ran at Waverley and St Albans so two runs ESTR. But you’re probably right, maybe should have had the three runs before a lift. Patsouras didn’t need to win that anyhow. Surely can win a bigger race than the Frankston 100m

Is there a rule in the VAL that states you can still incrementally move forward even with a win during the season over the same distance? Surely you have to be giving every other female athlete without a win a better shot at winning a race?! Discretion should be applied by the handicapper here where you say (with all due respect to Mills) you've won a race, you're not being lifted for the remainder of the season, try and improve off the mark you have to get another win?

Looking at the number of runs Mills has completed in her pro career, she might still have an OGA status. But after winning Geelong, 4th at Waverly and semi run at St Albans surely you’d wait for the mandatory 3rd AP to get a minimal lift. Plenty of other females in those fields would appreciate a discretionary lift who are well and truly out of contention in comparison.
