Who will win the 2023 Maribyrnong 120m Men's Gift?
2023 Maribyrnong 120m Men's Gift
In recent years we've seen Maribyrnong as a decent form guide for the Stawell Gift, the previous two winners here have gone on to win the Stawell Gift, does the streak continue this time around? Early forecast looks like it's going to be a cracker!
Last years winner Harrison Kerr starts as the backmarker off 1.75m.
Who takes it out this week? Cast your votes and predictions below.

I see no reason why Britain wouldn’t go for it again this week

Schiers
McGann
Evans
Lacey 1st
Baker 2nd
Brittain 3rd
Although I couldn’t make the trek to Castlemaine, both the sketchy livestream and Twitter results show McGann was super last week and I hope he backs it up. Schiers should squeeze into the final after receiving a lift and Bonecrusher Evans should rip through the rough conditions at the Nong.
I’m tossing up between Lacey and Baker… However Lacey, is just my pick for this one. Baker and Brittain won’t be far behind and either could pinch it if Lacey is just off his game.
Should be a cracker

Definitely going to be interesting!
Norm I reckon you're pretty close on the money there. McGann'll be interesting I heard he's running the 100m at AV champs over the weekend could be a big load! Wouldn't write of Green either reckon he's moving well and showed some good runs at Rye and St Albans, Keilor always a tough final to make.
Interesting as well to see that there's only 6 athletes behind novice and 4 behind 5.5m!
Tip is also Lacey.

Neon Dion coupled with Hollywood Evans is a grouping you can't go past.

If Lacey wins and goes to 9m, he’ll be a red hot chance at Easter, could even get to 9.25m if he doesn’t place this week and wins Shepparton. Time is running out for him though.
Maybe Green goes close off his juicy 5.75m. Schiers should be thereabouts with Kevin and Baker.
