VAL Draft Calendar Season 24/25

A few changes since this?.

St Albans gift?.
Shepparton still going ahead?.

St Albans is not on.
Shepparton is in the old Keilor date of Sat Feb 15.
The VAL are looking to put a meet on either Mar 15 or 22 where Shepparton was.

What happened to St Albans? Thought it was establishing itself as a long term player.

It was their call to pull the pin Downsey. Disappointing, as it had become a good meeting. Hopefully Keilor is only out for one year while they have their club rooms replaced.

Great to hear that Keilor is only temporary.

Website revamped, mmmm , missing alot of the old information, hopefully just loading still. No calendar, no rpm results. And a link to the saal website for results. We aren't going down the SAAL handicap system are we?.

Well if the feminist and the equals rights police would let the numbers do the talking.
The Keilor gift and many others would be around.
I wouldn’t want to sponsor any gift if I knew that the men had 2-4x more entries and them wanting the same prize money.

Keilor Gift has been one of my many favourites along with Wangaratta being a top 6 man final under lights.

Politics like this will get it nowhere.
The same with when they made starters wear Pink T-shirt’s when they had no idea what it was for.

Todd did suggest that Keilor are upgrading their facilities, and will hopefully be back next season, so let’s not jump to too many conclusions here…..unless you know something that the rest of us don’t.

Don’t stress about the website. We are in the process of adopting some of the back end stuff from SAAL. It will help our handicappers and the office to upload information and make changes etc. Our old system was very clunky and coming to the end of its use by date, and we had to start getting everything across onto a new platform. Hopefully entries and race lists will be up very soon.
