Noticeable updates

• A total of 21 meetings
  

• Loss of Meadowglen and Hastings from Season 2021/22.
  

• Addition of Essendon, Maryborough, Rye, Bendigo Madison and Shepparton which were not held in Season 2021/22
  

• Six meetings pre Christmas, up two from Season 2021/22
  

• Two double headers, Warrnambool/Terang and Euroa/Shepparton
  

• Five meetings (Docklands, Keilor, Maribyrnong, Bendigo Madison and Shepparton) are To Be Confirmed
  

How are we all feeling for Season 2022/23?

I do believe Ballarat has been left off the above list, there are only 20 meets listed instead of 21 meets?

Looks to be a ripper season ahead, especially with some of our old favourites back in the mix being Maryborough, Rye & Keilor.

What's the go with Hastings not returning?

A few updates have been made to the calendar, unfortunately Sunshine has been removed, however Shepparton looks to be an exciting addition. Still a few spots for potential gifts to fill with some empty weekends.

Season opener is Essendon on a Saturday night, just over 10 weeks to go!

Before the season commences when ever that is.
I would like to congratulate the 2023 Stawell gift winner that we already know will win after the performance at last seasons Stawell event.

VAL 2022/23 season registrations open on October 3rd. Not sure when entries for events such as Essendon and Docklands open, hopefully soon.

Fees are below:

NEW MEMBERS
$25 - 1 Meet Trial Membership
$60 - 3 Meet Trial Membership
$60 - Junior Athlete (under 18 y/o at time of registration)
Free - Junior Athlete (U18 financial Little Athletics Member)
$150 - Masters Events Only (Age 35+)
$150 - Distance Events Only (550m+)
$250 - Open Athlete All Events (Aged 18+)
$100 - Trainer / Coach Only

Interstate / International Athlete (Must be a financial member of your domiciled state)
– Free
Interstate Trainer/Coach (Must be a financially registered trainer in your domiciled state) – Free

RETURNING MEMBERS

Is there any updates on when rego / entries are opening? Can only see Essendon and Waverley events up for the moment. I also can't register, has anybody else had any luck?

And do we know who the officials are for this season? Other leagues are up and going already and we haven't heard anything yet.

Is it going ahead as there is no mention of it in the messages for the first few meets being open for entries..............

Has been taken down from the VAL website, so gonna assume its not going ahead, fingers crossed it can get up for later in the season.
