The first NSWAL poll (from memory?) brings us the Newcastle Gift for 2023 and what a line up!

In the red all weekend and our backmarker for the meet, boasting a 10.26 PB is Anas Abu Ganaba running from 0.25m! From 2.5m we see 2022 Stawell gift runner up Hamish Lindstrom and off 3.25m 2021 Bill Howard runner up and Stawell 70m finalist Samuel Taylor. 2023 surprise packet in Keiren Mundine runs from 3.75m after exploding onto the scene at Stawell placing 5th in the final and recently running 2nd at Macksville.

Jasper Thomas is entered to run from 4.5m, is this redemption after running 2nd at Waverley last weekend? 2015 and 2018 Stawell gift finalist Brendan Matthews runs from 6.75m
