2023 Mortlake 120m Men's Gift

Day 2 of the first double header of the season takes us to Mortlake where we see 2017 Stawell Gift winner Matthew Rizzo take the backmarker's role from 2.25m. He had a VERY strong season last year in the gifts with a 4th at Maryborough, 1st at Wangaratta, 3rd following a pull at Ballarat, and then 4th in the Stawell Final. He'll have it tough though at the back with the likes of Jasper Thomas (5.25m) and Massimo Acquaro (5.75m) infront of him. We also see Cam Debruin (4.75m) entered swapping the footy boots back to the spikes of old! Further down the track Jesse Cordoma is always a threat of 6.25m and Jack Newman of 7.75m reminds the Vics that the interstate crews are always up to the challenge! One to also keep an eye on after a scintillating end to last season is Kevin Brittain off 9.25m, absolutely cracking form for the long time VAL competitor.
