Cobden and Mortlake Gifts 2023

This weekend the Stawell Gift brings the Victorian Athletic League season to a close. We’re excited to announce that next season will kick off with two newly formed meetings, the Cobden Gift (Saturday 14th) and Mortlake Gift (Sunday 15th) to form a double-header weekend in October. Hosted by the Cobden Recreation Reserve and Mortlake Recreation Reserve committees, both events will incorporate all of their user groups and the wider community to help make each day a success.

We’ll soon be approaching local businesses with sponsorship opportunities ranging from naming rights and race sponsorship through to general sponsors. This allows plenty of time to build and market each event, and to give plenty of exposure to those in support.

What a prolific region that area is becoming for pro running. 4 meets close by. And a great time of year for not clashing with other things. Well played to whoever got these up! May more and more new events keep popping up.

It clashes with APS Finals so there’ll be a handful of VAL athletes and coaches with duties that day, but it shouldn’t be too many.

Ahhh bummer. Thought that was the weekend before for some reason. But I’m sure we can work on these clashes going forward
