VAL and MSL partner up for 2022 - 23 season
The Victorian Athletic League (VAL) together with My Sport Live (MSL) are excited to announce a new partnership that will see many of the 2023 VAL events broadcast live via the MSL suite of apps.
Six of the remaining nine VAL Meetings will be streamed live and exclusively by MSL. The first event kicks off this weekend with the 2023 Frankston Gift. The full list of VAL meetings expected to be streamed live, are as follows:
The 2023 Frankston Gift – 21 January
The 2023 Ballarat Gift – 11-12 February
The 2023 Keilor Gift – 18 February
The 2023 Castlemaine Gift – 26 February
The 2023 Maribyrnong Gift – 5 March
The 2023 Ringwood Gift – 25 March
Speaking of the new partnership, VAL Executive Officer - Taylah Perry said that it was a great opportunity to showcase more of the wonderful events we have and reach a wider audience.
“It’s wonderful to be able to work with a professional media organisation such as My Sport Live and see six events on the 2023 calendar streamed live with a high quality production and all convieniently in one location” she said.
“We are always looking at ways that we can showcase our events and make them more accessible to everyone who can’t attend, but also to showcase the quality of competition that we run."
“It will be great to bring so much VAL racing to the screen, and this is a big step in our plans to build our promotional and commercial partnership capabilities for the future.”
Managing Director of My Sport Live – Andrew Weiss, said he was excited to be able to showcase so many VAL events and was looking forward to getting started in Frankston this weekend.
“It really is exciting to be able to work together with Taylah, the VAL, event organisers and Clubs to showcase the best that Pro Running has to offer across Victoria,” he said.
“Having broadcast a number of iterations of the Sandringham Gift in the past, we know what the events are all about and are looking forward to bringing many more of them to life on the screen.
“It is great to be involved with the sport, and we can’t wait to get to Frankston on the weekend!”
The events scheduled for broadcast will be shown via the MSL OTT Platform which can be accessed at: www.watchmysportlive.tv/browse.
Apps can be downloaded via Apple or Android integrated phones or TV’s allowing everyone to watch on the go or in the comfort of their own living rooms.
A free trial period is offered covering 7-days of access, with subscriptions on offer to view all content after that period priced at $5 per month or $50 for the year.
Providing the stream through a service provider and a subscription based app platform, helps keeps the cost of providing a stream low for our VAL Clubs and ensures we can provide a stream for more events.
