Dont blame the President Colin Rowston
2021 BAY SHEFFIELD CARNIVAL
The SAAL Management Committee has unanimously decided, subject to the support of the Glenelg Football Club, the Glenelg Cricket Club and the City of Holdfast Bay, that the 2021 Bay Sheffield Carnival will be once again held at ACH Group Stadium. With the need to start planning for the event in the near future and, with the ongoing uncertainty of how COVID19 may impact on major events during the next few months, the decision to commit to the venue at this early stage of the year was deemed necessary.
The SA management committee consisting of
Colin Rowston (President)
Mark Barnett (Vice President)
Craig Trewartha
Ali Saliu
Jenny Poole
Lyn Peake
Phil Daws
are responsible for this decision. The Management Committee voted unanimously , so Colin Rowstons hands were virtually tied in what to do otherwise.
So these other committee members , some who wont be there next season have voted unanamiously to move away from Colley reserve for the Bay Sheff in 2021.
Dont blame the President as it was an unanamious decision by the committee mentioned.
A committee this season voting on what the committee next season does.

Not sure what the problem is? 3 quarters of the committee are older enough to get the jab

Re: Dont blame the President Colin Rowston
What concerns me about some of the committee whilst I applaud them all for putting their hand up is this:
Have a look at each persons nomination for a role on the committee, its pretty much the same stuff. I been running for so long, I work here, I've done this or that, I played tennis etc
Where is I can do this, I would like to see this, I think we should do... where are the offerings of ideas? No substance has left the members with no substance.
I asked what the committee nominators thoughts were on the handicap system. What I got in response was much the same, "I’d be happy to listen to all points of view. That would be part of my role if elected." or "I will be happy to work with whoever is elected".
Personally I dont think they have listened to all points of view. I also suspect that working with whoever is elected is short for I will agree with Colin.
Grant Colin has installed new committees to handle the various elements in attempt to function better (slightly too many committee's for my liking and a bit buck passing too) but it is an improvement Im sure but outside of this there is little substance to it all and the latest Team App release is still mostly nonsense.

Hi T.S.
I put this post up as a bait to see if the president still reads this forum.
With what got put on Team App today , Im sure he does , he took the bait hook line and sinker.
