2024 100m Womens Beachside Gift

Great entries here, quality backmarkers as well. Grandine is our backmarker with Payne, Neale , Phillips, Buschkuehl, Wang Lec. Neale probably wont run as she took her lift last week, same with Kinnersly.

Burmeister is my pick here. won easily at Essendon with 12m in the 200m. Has 6.25m here, should be hard to beat and will go well at Stawell.
Nobbs will be right there, she ran second at Terang with her last run. Barry will be close, Patsouras was strong at Frankston and has to be in the mix

Payne looks the one to beat here. Only had 2 AP’s this season as a established athlete and been giving half a metre lift this week
Third at Maryborough will be hard to beat

Wang lecouteur beats Payne off the pegs in the 100m last night at high velocity. Don't think Payne can win this one.

Jess Payne has just competed at ACT CHAMPS came away with a legal pb and silver in the 200 ,so she was running heavy .Normally Wang lecouter would not of had a chance the 100 is not Payne favorite event but has been Know to win from the back mark

Would Wang Lecouteur lose her Maryborough winning mark for Stawell if she won the Beachside Gift or is that locked in ?

Yes, any further win over 100m/120m women’s would mean the lift or holding of mark (Maryborough incentive) would not apply. Therefore if Wang Lecouter wins Beachside or any further 100m/120m she would be penalised from her current winning mark and also have no bonus or holding of mark for Stawell. In other words a further wins would not make her eligible to keep her Maryborough mark for Stawell.

Aris Patsouras to win this one for the Northern Suburbs from Natasha Marteene. Payne, Burmeister, Wang LC and  Brooke Buschkuehl will all be flying home but will run out of track. Montagner and Barry to fill the two remaining lanes
