Who will win the 2023 Geelong Womens 100m Gift?
2023 Geelong Womens 100m Gift
Geelong sees Jessica Payne line up as the backmarkers backmarker off 2.25m! She made an excellent showing at the Essendon gift 200m with a podium finish but will the shorter distance suit? Zoe Neale starts off 3.75m and looked electric from the back in the 70m at Essendon so keen to see what she can produce here. Keratianos lines up for the first time since her Stawell campaign from a mark of 4.25m after placing 3rd in the same event last season and 2nd in the 2022/23 Waverley 100m Gift, showing an affinity for the 100m distance.
Chloe Kinnersly will be one to watch after an impressive 2nd placing at Essendon over the 200m she goes from 7.5m but she will have to catch Grace Carter off 8.75m! Carter showed her strength over the short and longer distances at Essendon coming second in a rapid Womens 70m race and placing 4th in the 200m Gift as well.

Re: 2023 Geelong Womens 100m Gift
Should be a tough final to make this week as they’re pretty evenly matched, but I’m gonna have a go at getting the whole final
Payne 3rd
De Salis 2nd
Henderson
Kinnersly
H. Martin
Carter
A. Neale 1st
Spencer
Watson would be in the final but she injured herself from memory. Gonna go a left of field option and say Alyssa Neale. 3rd at Cobden and seems to be in form. De Salis won Newcastle last year off half a metre less and Payne ran super at Essendon, expect them to be in the 2nd and 3rd position.

Mia Spencer is a 100m specialist and she’s quickly back to her Frankston winning mark of 9m, so for me she’s the main winning hope here. Alyssa Neale and Chloe Kinnersly to fill the placings

I think you have all forgotten about former 3 time state junior 100 metre champion amber van eede off 11 metres.amber made the stawell semis as a 14 year old and after numerous issues is now running far faster than ever as she showed with her ridiculously easy wins at cobden and Mortlake.as a 12.80 track sprinter she should run around 11 60 ish for the 89 metres which would have come first or second in the last 4 geelong gifts.finally she has one an u18s 100 at Geelong a few seasons back so certainly ticks all the boxes

Some great runs by Amber I agree Jim but if you look at form over 100m with no RPM's of less than .13 and .1313 off 7.5 at essendon over 100m on a synthetic track... I'd be expecting a time of closer to 12.1 just based on RPM and conditions today. Could be wrong though reckon she's definitely a finals chance!
