Mort Daly meeting is from 12.00pm to 6.00pm thats 360 mins , yet they program the two 1600m races on the program within 90 mins of each other.

40 Nominations for the open 120m
20 athletes handicapped on 11m or greater.
So only half the nominations handicapped below the limit for the Bay Sheff.
Expect Sherlock to either drag the athletes back or extend the limit , or else come Bay Sheff day they will wear the grass away at the 11m mark

At Burnside this young girl finished 31 seconds from the winner, and gets the same handicap next time.Youve got to be pulling my leg.
No wonder , only two girls have nominated for this event.The saal is driving them away.

I would say a lack in leadership and direction towards covid strategy would be the main reason.People want to feel safe or know everything is being done to protect them.

Its a shame they never considered the options sooner, made a late call for a meeting, last minute request for members input, which is possibly why we have a rushed decision. The facts are there, despite what SA Health mandates or note most other sporting codes are introducing or have already introduce the vaccination mandate. Can they not do anything without being prompted?
Crowds were low at Colley as were the numbers once again. Perhaps Covid was the cause on this?

I think the reasons for not requesting the double jab policy runs a lot further , its a no brainer.

I personally would like to see the Bay Sheffield Ambassador come out and promote the double jab for the Bay.

Colley Reserve area was like a ghost town, Cosi will need to give away more than 4 tickets to the VIP area if the Glenelg Gift is to have an atmosphere!

Good reason for this , and times may change as they now think the track wasnt as slow as first thought.
Make sure you have a copy of adjusted times as they stand because they still may change.
All the finalists went under target time in the open 120m
Multiple athletes went under target time in the open 70m
Multiple athletes went under target time in Womens 70m.
Multiple athletes went under target time in the 550m open final
Target time was broken in womens 550m final
I stand corrected on any of this information being fed to me , check it out , surely it cant be right especially for a system that is working

Im hearing an under 18 girl went 3 seconds under target in the under 18 girls 550m , an over 35 athletes went 5 seconds under target time in the over 35 550m and an under 18 lad went 3 seconds under target time for the under 18 boys 550m
Surely this cant be correct and we havent even got to the Bay.
Under18 age boys and girls under target time in the 120m
if you cant run target time , dont turn up

I rang Gossips last night and he told me , unless the adjusted times get adjusted , there was far to many RED z scores.
He also said , those that supported the league , will benefit as they wont run RED at the Bay.
Those that havent supported the league will more than likely run RED at the Bay.
He also said , expect Brighton to be rated Standard Grass or Slow for similar reasons.

I guess the question is when will they put the z-scores up? Christmas?

Z SCORES
Z-Scores are determined for all runners in all races and will be published on the League’s website the day after every race meeting. Each score is an indication of how much faster or slower an individual’s performance is compared to their other performances. If the Z-Score is 2 or higher, it means there has been considerable improvement and it is considered a “Red” Z-Score.

As you can see T.S. Colin has posted on the 22/10/21 that

If there is a problem come out and tell everyone , dont treat everyone like mushrooms.

Protecting members and officials as well as providing a safe environment should be the first priority not base a decision on those that choose to ignore medical or health advice. Anyone can catch Covid, vaccinated or not, however unvaccinated are 20 times more likely to pass on Covid to a vaccinated person than a vaccinated to vaccinated. I dont know the stats on unvaccinated to unvaccinated but I would assume this is even higher again.

I'd be more inclined to go to ASA knowing they have provided as much safer environment.

The SAAL has its problems on numbers regardless of this debate.

There are many other sporting codes including ASA and the VAL that have this mandate, if your concern on numbers is relevant then I guess we would be seeing lower numbers at ASA and VAL.
The VAL had 2 meets on the weekend with a total of 542 competing, seems quite good. ASA we'll see after this weekend. I doubt there will be much change.

Hope you did as I suggested T.S. and kept a copy of adjusted times, BECAUSE 4 days after the meeting the saal has adjusted the adjusted times, just as I suggested would happen
Cat wait for Mumbles race meeting report , second week in a row , hes been thrown under the bus.
And all these stuff ups , and we are only days out from the Sheff.
Its all to do with discretion.

I did for some of the events, just running through them and I see Semi 2 for the Mens 120m all times have been altered (I say adjusted because thats used for wind and track rating adjustments) altered is the word I would use. Mens Semi 2 the adjusted times have been altered by .072
The Womens 120 Semi 1 all of the adjusted times have been altered by .047, unless you are Melita Suica where her time has been altered by .048??
The Womens 120m Semi Final 2 all the adjusted times have been altered by .060
As far as I can tell all of the mens, womens and over 35's 550m adjusted times have been altered by .69

Can anyone explain how days later times can be adjusted like this?
Altered or adjusted, the adjusted times have been changed!
This is for the 2nd meet in a row that we know of, changing result times people, the integrity of this competition has to questioned once again!

So the adjustments have now been taken away as you can see above and hardly anyone went under target in the 550m events.
At the moment its a complete shambles and laughable.
Like you say T.S. , two weeks in a row , but this one 4 days after the meeting was run.

Without knowing why right at this moment I will say this.
Can you imagine under the previous process of handicappers where a handicapper goes onto the SAAL website and starts adjusting or rather altering the times so that the handicaps the athletes were given for that meet appear to more justified or correct?

It beggars belief!
