Henley 1600, you have to be joking.

No wonder Whisperer has called it season over.
First of all why the time adjustment to make the time slower
Grant runs APPROXIMATELY 40m quicker today than last couple of runs.Runs in the last month.
Either he has ran out of his skin and faces a fine as hes ran well below ceiling.Im telling you he hasnt.
The circle track was marked short .......maybe
The handicap marks were put out incorrectly, it happened at Burnside and nothing said, perhaps the same person was responsible
Timing was incorrect.
What ever the reason, please do not let these times go into the system to determine future handicaps.
And come clean as to what happened , in this weeks Stewards report and explain why the adjust to make times slower, when that system has not been used all season.

Can someone explain to me why there is no time adjustment in the 200m and 800m events yesterday but there is in the 1600m.

It was no more than a picnic meeting propped up by several little athletic races , so why the delay in getting the stewards report out.

Well over two weeks now, and NO stewards report.
Im guessing the Chief cant find a reason for the adjustment in the 1600m when there was none in the 800m.
Ignore it , season finished and it will go away quicker than the snag sandwich you were getting just at the start of the 1600m. Because thats where you were.

Well done to the saal for not treating the running public like mushrooms and eventually coming out and giving an honest explanation of what occurred.
CHIEF STEWARD’S COMMENTS
Following a post event review of the times recorded for both the 800m and 1600m
events, the Chief Steward and Steward measured the circular track. The track was
found to be 390m and not 400m. A further check of the track was undertaken
following the event which confirmed the track was short. SAAL administration has
requested that at all future meets two officials must check all the track
measurements before races commence irrespective of advice received on track
length.
As a result of this error, the times for both the 800m and 1600m races have been
removed from the SAAL database for handicap assessment. The VAL has been
advised of the situation with regard to the races.
